How do I pay?

We accept Cash, Interact (Debit), Mastercard, and Visa.
Physiotherapy fees paid directly by a patient are tax free and qualify as a medical expense for income tax purposes.

If you have insurance this may be able to cover some, or all your costs.

Vaughan Physiotherapy is an approved provider for Extended Health Insurance, and Ontario Auto Insurers (Motor Vehicle Accidents).

Acupuncture, traction, athletic taping, ultrasound, interferential current therapy, shortwave diathermy, and a variety of other treatment modalities can be included as part of your physiotherapy sessions at no added cost.

Does insurance cover my visit?

You've got better things to do than worry about filing a claim.

We are accepted providers so that you will be able to use your Extended Health Insurance to be reimbursed for your therapy. We are also Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) license certified so we can directly bill your car insurance company if you have been in an auto accident.

What is Direct Billing?

Do you accept WSIB or MVA claims?

Yes! We treat patients who have claims through workplace insurance and through auto insurance. Please remember to bring your claim number, insurance adjuster’s contact info, and all other relevant information to your initial appointment.

We know that the motor vehicle accident (MVA) injury claims process can be complicated, so we try to make it as easy as possible for you. We complete all the paperwork and submit it on your behalf, and we bill your insurance provider so you won’t have to pay out of pocket.

Our goal is to make your rehabilitation as fast and convenient as possible.

I cannot afford to pay up front.
What can you do for me?

We are able to bill on your behalf through your extended health care plan, if you are eligible. However you are responsible for any fees not paid by the insurance company. A valid credit card is required in this case as a security measure.

Are Physiotherapy Services covered by OHIP?

OHIP coverage is limited to persons 65 and over, 19 and younger, those receiving benefits under the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Family Works, residents of long-term care homes, or persons who require physiotherapy to treat a condition for which they have stayed in hospital overnight.

If you meet any of these criteria, you will have to find one of the few OHIP registered clinics in Ontario. Current OHIP reimbursement levels for physiotherapy service are minimal, and the rehabilitation services offered by these clinics is consequently limited.
