OUR APPROACH
Evidence-based, hands-on and active. Every plan at Vaughan Physiotherapy Clinic follows the same six steps, so you always know where you are, what comes next and why.

THE SIX STEPS
01
We start by listening to your story and your goals. Then we test how you move, not just where it hurts, and look above and below the sore spot along the whole chain. For low back pain, that means checking how load passes through your hips, knees, feet and ankles.
02
From the assessment we pick the two or three things that matter most for you, such as joint stiffness, muscle control, load tolerance or confidence. These pillars guide every session, so nothing is random.
03
Early on we calm the pain and symptoms that get in your way, using manual therapy, dry needling, taping, supports or changes to your activity. Symptom relief is a means, not the end: it lets you move and train well.
04
You learn why it hurts and how to move well. We retrain the timing and order in which your muscles switch on, so your body shares load the way it should, and you leave knowing how to manage it yourself.
05
Progressive strength and loading so your muscles, tendons and joints can handle more than your day, your sport or your job asks of them. We adjust the plan as you get stronger.
06
Back to work, sport and life. We test you against your own goals before we step back, and you leave with a plan to stay well.
HOW WE CHOOSE YOUR TREATMENT
Our focus is on treatment techniques that are shown to work, and on knowing when to use each one. Some are tried and true, some are newer, and many have progressed over the years as the research has. Not every technique suits every condition: we choose what fits your diagnosis, your goals and where you are in your recovery.
The core of every plan: retraining how you move, building strength and giving you the skills to manage on your own.
Hands-on techniques to restore joint movement and settle protective muscle guarding, so you can move and train well.
To ease muscle tension and pain that are holding back your progress, when it suits your condition.
Support that keeps you active while your body rebuilds capacity, fitted and adjusted in clinic.
Retraining your body's sense of position and the inner ear, for ankles, knees, the neck and dizziness.
From established options to newer tools, used where the research supports them for your condition and your goals.
Physiotherapists, chiropractors, registered massage therapists and our acupuncturist work from the same plan under one roof, so your care is joined up from your first visit to your last.
