Hafiz Damji PT

Resident Physiotherapist (Res. PT, DPT)

Meet Hafiz:

Hafiz’s love for exercise science and physical education in high school influenced his decision to pursue a Bachelor’s degree with Honors Specialization in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. His summers working as a physiotherapist aide and his growing interest in falls prevention, sport-related injuries, and health and fitness motivated Hafiz to follow his dream in becoming a physiotherapist. Hafiz graduated from the University of Melbourne in Australia with a Doctor of Physiotherapy in 2020. He spent just over a year in Melbourne working as a physiotherapist and gained experience treating a wide variety of conditions across many age groups. Hafiz has recently returned home to Canada and is in the process of becoming fully licensed in Ontario. Hafiz grew up in Vaughan, Ontario and so is very familiar with the neighbourhood. He grew up playing ice hockey transitioning from defense to goalie. He cheers for the Maple Leafs as well as the Raptors and Blue Jays. In his adult life he currently plays soccer, tennis, and basketball with his mates. When he is not playing sports, he likes to stay active by lifting weights at the gym. Hafiz is not one-dimensional however, outside of his passion for playing and watching sports, he is a big fan of home renovations and the HGTV channel as well as a growing passion for landscape photography. Hafiz has extensive research experience and therefore understands the importance for evidence-based practice but also the need for patient-centered care. He takes on a holistic approach to care by promoting overall health and well-being and loves supporting his clients in working towards achieving their short, medium, and long-term goals.
